Service Description
In our Circuit Playground class at Weirdly Wired, students discover how real devices interact with the world around them. Using App Lab and Adafruit’s Circuit Playground, kids learn to program lights, sensors, buttons, and sound — the same types of inputs and outputs used in everyday smart technology. Through hands-on building and creative problem solving, students move from simple ideas to working prototypes, learning how inventors and engineers turn rough concepts into real solutions. With a true maker mindset, they use both technology and everyday materials to design, test, and create projects they’re proud to take home. This is a 6-week program. Lab Fee Required A Circuit Playground is a small, beginner-friendly electronic learning board designed to make coding and physical computing easy and fun. Originally developed by Adafruit Industries, it combines sensors, lights, buttons, and sound features on one compact device so you can start building interactive projects without needing to wire many separate parts. A Circuit Playground is a round microcontroller board with built-in components that let you experiment right away. Depending on the version, it typically includes: Colorful LED lights Push buttons and switches Motion and tilt sensors Temperature and light sensors A small speaker or buzzer Touch-sensitive pads Because these features are already attached, you can focus on learning to code instead of spending time connecting electronics.
